A great superintendent influences the success of every teacher, staff member and student in a district.
Texas needs more high-quality programs to prepare and support superintendents in a very tough job.
Since launching the Superintendent Leadership Program in 2021, Holdsworth has supported 34 superintendents in the most difficult, high-stakes aspects of the job.

As educators, we are not taught leadership. We’re taught education. Holdsworth teaches us how to lead an organization.

A superintendent navigates challenges to do right by kids
When Superintendent Kathy Rollo came to Holdsworth, she knew things in Lubbock ISD were about to get tough. A beloved elementary school needed to close, and explaining her decision to the community would be difficult. She needed four crucial elements – learning, practice, coaching and support. At Holdsworth, that’s exactly what she got.
I don't know how I would've gotten through some of the challenges I faced without support from Holdsworth. It's not a job where you get in the seat and automatically know everything. Things are always evolving. Superintendents must continue to invest in their own learning.
